Expert Guide on the Whistleblowing Law in Belgium
On 28 November 2022 the Act transposing the Whistleblowing Directive into national law was eventually enacted by the Chamber and was published in the Belgian Official Gazette on 15 December 2022.
As a result, companies employing 250 employees or more are required to have their internal reporting channels up and running from 15 February 2023. Companies employing between 50 and 249 employees have to comply with this requirement by 17 December 2023.
